Transferring Between Terminals at Gatwick Airport
A free monorail makes it easy to get from one terminal to the other
Using the inter-terminal monorail service at Gatwick Airport
There are a number of reasons why you may need to transfer between the two terminals at Gatwick Airport.

- It may be that you are a transient passenger, arriving at one terminal and leaving from another
- You may be arriving by train at the South Terminal but flying from North Terminal
- You wish to stay at a particular on site hotel, for example the Sofitel Hotel at the North Terminal, but you are flying from the South Terminal
Whatever the case you will need to transfer between the two terminals which, thanks to the monorail, is extremely easily. The journey is free and takes just 3 minutes. Simply follow the signs to the monorail from the terminal buildings.
The monorail runs every few minutes during all hours that the airport is operational.
