The answers to all the most commonly asked questions

Family Rooms, Infants & Extra Beds

  • Do any of the hotels offer family rooms that can accommodate more than two adults and two children?
  • A standard family room will accommodate 2 adults and 2 children or 2 adults and 3 children. Some hotels offer family rooms that can accommodate 2 adults and up to 5 children. Please visit the hotel description pages for more information.
  • We are travelling with one infant, what type of room should we book?
  • If you are travelling with an infant under 2 years of age, you should select a Double Room with cot. If you are travelling with one child aged 2-12 years you should select a Double Room with extra bed.
  • We require a double room and extra bed for our child who's over 12 years old, is this okay?
  • Unfortunately not. Due to health and safety regulations hotels can only provide an extra bed for children aged 12 years and under. You need to book a triple room for your stay.
  • Are baby or child seats available in hotel shuttle buses and taxis?
  • No. Parents are required to hold their children during the shuttle journey to or from the airport. Taxis do not provide baby or child seats either although you are able to fix your own in the back of a taxi if you wish. Bear in mind, however, that the taxi firm will be unable to store the seats for you. By law you are allowed to hold your children whilst in a taxi.

Stay and Park

  • Do all the hotels offer long term or Stay and Park packages?
  • All hotels booked through ourselves offer a discounted Stay and Park package. If a hotel doesn't offer Stay and Park it will be made clear on this website.
  • Is my car secure at the hotel for a long period of time?
  • The hotels featured by ourselves offer secure airport parking. Please note, as with all car parks, cars are left at the owner's risk.
  • Are cars always kept on site at the hotel?
  • Car parking is on site at the hotel when a room and parking package is booked through ourselves. Some hotels reserve the right to request that guests take their cars to an overflow car park during peak periods, others may utilise a car park management company to do this. If this is the case it will be made clear on the hotel's description page.
  • What if I need more than 15 days parking, or between 8 and 15 days?
  • If you require more than 15 days parking select 15 days and then enter the number of additional days parking you require later on in the booking process. The same applies for more than 8 days parking. It's worth noting that it may be more economical to book 15 days parking even if you require e.g. 10 or 11 days.

Amendments

  • Is there an amendment fee?
  • No. Amendments including date changes and hotel changes can be made free of charge.

Cancellations

  • Is there a cancellation fee?
  • No. Cancellations can be made free of charge.
  • What if I fail to cancel my reservation in time?
  • The credit or debit card used at the time of making the booking will be charged the total amount of the package(s) booked as a "No Show" or "Non Arrival".
  • How can I cancel my reservation?
  • Simply email res.support@chreservations.com or call us. Please be sure to include your Booking ID Number in all correspondence. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your check in date. Cancellations at some hotels require 48 hours cancellation notice.

Payment

  • I am arriving late. Will my room be held for me?
  • Yes. Your credit or debit card will guarantee your room is held for late arrival.
  • Do you charge a credit card fee?
  • No.
  • Do I need to pay the hotel using the same card used at the time of making the booking?
  • No. The credit or debit card used at the time of the booking will be used by the hotel to guarantee the reservation.

Hotel Shuttle Services

  • Do all the hotels offer a shuttle to and from the airport?
  • All hotels featured by ourselves offer a shuttle service to and from the airport terminal buildings. A shuttle is not required if staying at the Sofitel Hotel or the Hilton Hotel as these hotels are connected to the terminals by undercover walkway.
  • Do the shuttles run from the airport to the hotels as well as from the hotels to the airport?
  • Yes. All shuttle services run to and from both the hotels and the airport.
  • Do I have to pay for the shuttle service?
  • Yes. Hotels charge for the shuttles. The cost depends on which hotel is booked, but an approximate cost is £4.00 per person each way. Click on the hotel of your choice for more details.
  • Are the shuttles reliable?
  • Yes. Hotel shuttles are reliable and operated by professional companies.
  • What if I need to get to the airport and there is no shuttle running?
  • All the hotels featured by ourselves are within an 8 mile radius of the airport, so it is easy to get a taxi if necessary for the short journey.
  • Where do I pick up the shuttle from the airport?
  • Shuttle pick up points are clearly marked throughout the terminal buildings. Just follow the signs.
  • I am travelling to Gatwick by train. Can I get a shuttle from the train station to the hotel?
  • Yes. The train station is situated at the South Terminal. Follow the signs to the shuttle pick up point after arriving.

Journey Times

  • How long will it take to get to Gatwick from my hotel?
  • All hotels are within approximately 15 minutes of the airport.
  • What distance are the hotels from Gatwick?
  • The hotels featured by ourselves are within 8 miles of the airport.

Breakfast

  • Is breakfast included in the room price?
  • No. If it is, it will be clearly stated.
  • Is breakfast available at the airport?
  • Yes. The airport offers an excellent choice of restaurants and cafes. Breakfast will often be considerably cheaper at the airport than in the hotel.
  • What time is breakfast available from at the airport?
  • Most restaurants at Gatwick open at 06:00 hours.

Taxis

  • Can I get a taxi to the airport from the hotel, or from the hotel to the airport?
  • Yes. Local taxis, however, are considerably cheaper than on airport taxi services. It is advisable to pre-book a taxi either by phone in the airport terminal or at the hotel reception. (Hotel staff will be happy to do this for you.)

  • Do the hotels at Gatwick offer overnight parking?
  • Yes. All of the hotels offer overnight parking. Some hotels offer complimentary overnight parking others charge an overnight rate.
